Hi! 
Since last Wednesday, I have done the colorization of the illustration #2 for my Patreon page. I spent a lot of time doing coloring exercises with YouTube tutorials, and I did a lot of different tests on this illustration. I’m hopeful of gradually gaining speed, so as not to spend 18 weeks on colouring. 
For starters, I scanned the inking, cleaned up the small imperfections on Photoshop and prepared my file for colouring.
Then I made a coloured background to give me a lighting mood base. Then I painted the different elements of the drawing in grey, each on a different Photoshop layer, so that I could easily paint each element afterwards. For those who know a little bit, it’s basically preparing masks to make clipping masks.
Then I made the basic colours of each element, in flat colours, without shadows, as if they were in an absolutely neutral light. This is necessary for the next steps of this colouring method.
Then I worked on my shadows and lights. To make it easy to work with, I painted the whole picture in blue, to symbolize the shadows, and then I painted the illuminated areas with yellow, imagining that there is a window that lets sunlight into the room.
Then I used the previously cut-out areas to dye the basic colours. The blue area has become an orange hue, and the yellow area has become a light yellow. We’re getting closer to the final result!
Finally, I painted a few additional shadows on each element, to improve the feeling of volumes. The colour of the ‘HA HA HA’ has changed, as well as the background color and the tint of the baby’s skin, which I found too desaturated. I can’t wait to do the other illustrations!
Oh, and illustration #1 is not missing! It’s the following drawing, which will serve as a banner on Patreon. I had finished it before I started the pencils of the other 17 illustrations, which is why it didn’t appear until now.
